I recently purchased: Asperger's Huh? - A child's perspective by Rosina G. Schnurr, Ph.D.
After reading several reviews on Amazon.com I found this book to be quite insightful. It is recommended for ages 4-8 it is only 52 pages each easy to read and easy for your child to understand.
You read this book with your child and it help them to understand why they may be a little bit "different". However, it validates all of their feelings and normal and gives them strategies for overcoming some of their issues with Asperger's.
*The Funny Thing About Friends
*The Weather Weebie
*Sports & Klutzes
*Am I Smart or What?
*Little Things, Big Things
*You and Who Else?
*So What's Important?
I have to admit I lauged several times because the author related to me and my dealings with Jaisha. This book also gave me several strategies to help Jaisha understand social situations and dealing with emotions when you don't get what you want.
I give this book a 2 thumbs up if you want to have simple and practical insight into your child's view on the world.
